These are the terms for using inputprobe.com. They are short on purpose.

Using the site

The tools are free to use and need no account, no registration and no payment. You may use them for personal or commercial purposes, including checking hardware you are being paid to check. Do not attempt to disrupt the site or use it in a way that breaks the law where you are.

What a measurement here is

The tools report what your browser can observe about your input device at the moment you run them. A result therefore depends on your browser, your operating system, your drivers and what else your machine is doing, and it can legitimately differ between two runs or two browsers on the same hardware.

A reading on this site is information, not a certification. It is not an inspection, an appraisal or an official test of your hardware, and it should not be the only basis for a warranty claim, a return, a repair decision or a purchase. Where a tool's accuracy has not been established against physical hardware, the methodology page says so plainly; read it before relying on a figure.

No warranty

The site and its tools are provided as they are, without any warranty of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted availability. To the fullest extent the law allows, no liability is accepted for any loss arising from use of the site or from decisions taken on the basis of a measurement it produced. Nothing here limits any right you have that cannot be limited by law.

Changes to the site

Tools, thresholds and pages may be changed, added or withdrawn, and a measurement method may be revised when better evidence arrives; that is how the site is meant to work. Material changes to these terms will appear on this page.

Text and code

The text, design and source of this site remain the property of their author. The tools are free to use, which is not the same as free to republish: do not copy the pages or the measurement code and present them as your own work. Quoting a passage with a link back is fine and welcome.
